Product Overview

Specs at a glance.

Format Liquid Cold-processed, dropper bottle
Serving Size 1–3 mL Weight-based dosing
Bottle Volume 100 mL Calibrated dropper included
Formula Specification

Active ingredient targets.

Per 1 mL serving. Six active ingredients in aqueous solution. Factory to confirm achievable concentrations and propose any stability-based adjustments before prototype production.

Ingredient Sourcing Specification Target per 1 mL Function
Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides Types I & III — bovine, grass-fed traceable source. Hydrolyzed peptides only (not gelatin). MW target: 2,000–5,000 Da. 800 mg Skin barrier, coat quality, connective tissue repair
Type II Collagen (Undenatured) Chicken sternum collagen, undenatured. Generic pharmaceutical-grade — not branded UC-II®. COA confirming undenatured state required. 40 mg Joint cartilage support, inflammation modulation
MSM Methylsulfonylmethane — food-grade, minimum 99.9% purity. Water-soluble form required for liquid matrix. 400 mg Keratin synthesis, anti-inflammatory support
Hyaluronic Acid Low MW fermented (microbial) hyaluronate. Molecular weight: 50,000–300,000 Da preferred for oral bioavailability. 50 mg Skin hydration, joint lubrication
Vitamin C L-Ascorbic acid — food-grade, water-soluble. Buffered form acceptable if stability improves. 50 mg Collagen synthesis co-factor, antioxidant
Natural Bacon Flavor Pork-derived natural flavor — food-grade, pet-safe. No artificial flavor compounds. Do not substitute with chicken or salmon (palatability requirement). 150 mg Palatability — primary acceptance driver

Formulation Notes

All ingredients must remain stable in aqueous solution. Shelf life target: 18 months unopened, 60 days post-opening (refrigerated storage). No artificial preservatives — acceptable preservation options: potassium sorbate at approved pet supplement levels, or rosemary extract as natural antioxidant. Factory to submit a stability protocol and proposed COA template alongside first prototype batch. pH range target: 4.0–5.5 for preservative efficacy.

Dosing Protocol

Weight-based dosing.

Dog Weight Daily Dose Supply per 100 mL
Under 25 lbs (<11 kg) 1 mL ~60 days
25–75 lbs (11–34 kg) 2 mL ~30 days
Over 75 lbs (>34 kg) 3 mL ~20 days

Administer once daily. Mix directly into food or deliver via dropper. Formula must be odorless at room temperature — palatability driven by natural flavoring only, no artificial masking agents.

"The dropper must deliver a precise 1 mL per full draw. Calibration marks at 1 mL, 2 mL, and 3 mL are required on the dropper stem."

Product Claims

Four core benefit pillars.

01

Skin & Coat

Repairs skin barrier from within. Reduces scratching, hot spots, and dry skin within 4–6 weeks of consistent use. Visible coat improvements in shine, density, and reduced shedding.

02

Joint Mobility

Type II collagen and MSM work together to reduce joint inflammation and maintain cartilage integrity. Targeted at active dogs and seniors experiencing stiffness or reduced range of motion.

03

Gut Lining

Hydrolyzed collagen peptides support intestinal wall integrity for dogs with leaky gut, loose stools, or food sensitivities. No fillers or binders — gentle on sensitive stomachs.

04

Whole-Body Repair

Daily structural support for connective tissue, nail strength, and immune function. Foundation supplement across all life stages — complementary to existing veterinary treatments.

Packaging Requirements

Bottle & label specification.

Packaging Options — Factory to Quote

Please provide quotes for both: (1) amber glass bottle as specified, and (2) frosted HDPE or PET bottle with UV inhibitor additive. Indicate any shelf-life differences between options. Factory-supplied packaging preferred for first run; buyer-supplied option should also be quoted.

Quality & Compliance

Minimum manufacturing standards.

Manufacturing

GMP Certified

Facility must hold current cGMP certification for dietary supplements (21 CFR Part 111 or equivalent). NASC membership preferred. ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 food safety certification acceptable.

Testing

Third-Party COA

Certificate of Analysis required for each batch. Heavy metals (lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury), microbial (Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria), and active ingredient potency verification against label claim.

Sourcing

Non-GMO Verified

All active ingredients must be non-GMO. Bovine collagen source must be traceable — grass-fed, pasture-raised animals. No rendered by-products. Documentation required.

Sampling Request

Prototype requirements.

Please prepare one prototype based on the formula specification above — single SKU, Natural Bacon flavor, for internal evaluation and palatability testing. Unlabeled bottles are acceptable for prototype stage.

  • 1x Natural Bacon flavor — 100 mL prototype, unlabeled
  • Full COA for prototype batch
  • Stability test protocol with projected shelf-life data
  • MOQ and lead time at 500 / 1,000 / 5,000 unit volumes
  • Packaging options with quotes (glass and alternative)
  • Any proposed adjustments to formula for stability or solubility

"We evaluate palatability through a 2-week blind feeding trial with a panel of 10 dogs before confirming any formula. COA and stability data are required before evaluation begins."
